Question: How do you promote communities?

 

Answer:

We encourage a friendly environment by adding the following:

 

  • In-game chat filter and mute options

  • Dynamic flag/title option - Other players can determine ahead of time your reputation with others (ex: toxic, clown, fun, etc)

  • Player ability to block another player by clicking the desired characters name

  • Experience "BONUS" for helping a fellow player

  • Achievements earned for chat and positive reviews++

  • Players with negative reviews can be locked from positive zones

Question: How large should the communities be?

 

Answer:

​

We leave this up to the player as there are no limits or restrictions to party size. While there are advantages of both large and small communities - we encourage both.

Question: How do you make community members want to enlarge their communities?

 

Answer:

​

Community members will definitely want to increase their communities for a several of reasons.

​

  • Player towns are massive and present fair opportunity for community development and expansion.

  • Players in parties are given increased EXP, rewards, and achievements (ex. requiring a mix of/ or recruiting a certain amount of character class -as some classes are more rare due to difficulty etc).

  • Clans are required to have a minimum of at least 10 players however, an addition to those players will unlock various options such as new exploration zones, PVP arenas, Clan hall, rewards, etc.

  • Earn 'BIG' rewards and discounts for recruiting a friend.

  • There are town rulers and councils that the community will become familiar with.

Question: How do informal communities promote themselves to permanent, formal communities?

 

Answer:

​

We have an in-game matching system -the ability to mark yourself looking for group to get around and join others who have the same shared interests.

​

Informal communities in regards to a clan (+members) in it's early stages, will promote themselves by completing one of the early requirements -the construction of a guild/clan flag. This image will establish a reputation "good or bad" throughout the world in-game, and, out of game communities as well. We also, take it a step further by presenting these communities in our Lore, website, forums, and tournaments.

Community members can pull knowledge from our website/forums and work together on projects to further the community. Group websites, with tools to keep archives, to log what was said in game and display the logs, group property ownership, ability to decide their own structure.

Question: How do hierarchies get promoted?

 

Answer:

​

Hierarchies get promoted by in-game peers, npc's, completing tasks. Yes, there are always reasons to lead, but leading your fellow clan and friends to victory (sharing the glory/ pain) in short are few ways that hierarchies get promoted.

​

Question: Will you encourage use of, third party communities (TeamSpeak, proxies, Skype, ICQ, Facebook, LiveJournal, Quora)? How will you integrate with them?

 

Answer:

​

We encourage the use of third party communities by integrating discord, steam, teamSpeak, skype, and ICQ within the in-game UI. We also have our own new feature "qivaCAM".
